Skill acquisition for PvP - Change secondary or start new char? Advice required!
Hi, having played my w/e up to level 15 and done all the skill quests along the way I was thinking I'd like to be able to have a good selection of Necro, Mesmer and Ranger skills for PvP as well.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the quickest way to acquire these skills would be? Should I ascend with my warrior and switch through all three professions spending skill points, capturing skills and questing? Start a new ranger/necro for example and work through changing to mesmer after ascension? If this is the best way what combo should choose from ranger/mesmer/necro to start with? Also, is it viable to PvP in arena/HoH for the faction to buy skills? I met a guy who had 60k faction - all he did was PvP for skills. Any help v.much appreciated. Thanks. |

Yea, I agree with Chaos. If you are a PvE type of player, do the quests that will get you the skills you want. If you want to unlock skills that you think you will only use for PvP, then faction is the way to go. I rarely by skills now though. Unless I want to use a skill with my PvE character that I have pretty much no quests left to do, then that is when I will consider buying skills.
